SERVICES
Currently, Anderson Creek Emergency Sevices provides fire & EMS protection to the citizens of the Anderson Creek Community. Additionally, we respond to mutual aid requests from surrounding departments, as well as first-in EMS response to most of the Flat Branch Community as well as part of the Spout Springs Community.
Annually, Anderson Creek Emergency Services responds to approximately 1,200 fire & EMS calls for service. These include structural and vehicle fires, motor vehicle accidents, hazardous materials incidents, and all manner of medical emergencies. Many of the members of Anderson Creek Emergency Services also belong to some of the specially trained response teams within Harnett County. These include the Land Search and Rescue team (SAR), the Underwater Dive & Recovery Team, the S.T.A.R Team & the S.MA.T. Team.
We protect a population of roughly 12,000 residents, encompassing 6 square miles. We provide service to these residents and vistors with a combination of paid staff and volunteer members, responding with 3 fire engines, a rescue truck, a brush truck, 3 ambulances & an administrative support vehicle.
Our Emergency Medical Services consist of 3 full-time and approximately 20 part-time EMT's. We are an Advanced Life Support provider, with at least one EMT-Intermediate on-duty at all times. An EMT-Paramedic from Harnett County EMS responds to all calls for service in Anderson Creek along with our EMS crew.
We have 5 fill-time firefighters on-duty Monday - Friday from 8AM until 4PM. Volunteers respond to calls after 4PM and on weekends, as well as during the weekdays to assist the on-shift paid staff. Many of our members are cross-trained and certified as both firefighters and Emergency Medical Technicians. This gives our department a total number of around 50 people.
