Deputy Chief (302)
Deputy Chief Williams joined Anderson Creek in early 1999 as a volunteer firefighter. In November of 1999, Deputy Chief Williams accepted a paid firefighter position, leaving behind his work in environmental services.
Over the next few years, Deputy Chief Williams rose throught the ranks of Lieutenant & Captain. In January of 2004, he was made the supervisor of the daytime paid firefighters, and shortly after that promoted to Asst. Chief.
Deputy Chief Williams is certified as a NC Level II firefighter, NC Rescue Technician, Driver / Operator (Pumps & Aerials) and a NC EMT-B.
In addition to functioning as a command officer during incidents, Deputy Chief Williams is still responsible for supervising all paid firefighting staff, he also assists the EMS Asst. Chief with supervising the EMS duty crew, and handles the day-to-day business of the department.
