



Captain Dan Maffia (305)
Fire Training Officer
Capt. Maffia started his firefighting career with the Budd Lake Volunteer Fire Department in New Jersey. He moved to North Carolina in 1995, immediately joining the Crains Creek Volunteer Fire Department, in Moore County. In 1996, Capt. Maffia settled in the Anderson Creek Community and joined Anderson Creek Emergency Services.
Capt. Maffia is a NC certified Level II Firefighter, a NC certified Rescue Technician (VMR & Ropes), a NC certified Driver-Operator (Pumps & Aerials), a NC EMT-I, a NC Certified Fire I & II Instructor and an EMS Instructor. Capt. Maffia also holds various certifications for Incident Command & Leadership training through the National Fire Academy. He currently is a career firefighter with the City of Fayetteville, teaches Fire & EMS classes through the Community College System and works part-time for Cumberland County EMS.
In addition to serving as a line officer during incidents, Capt. Maffia currently oversees all the fire training for the department as well as supervising the recruit training program.
